We’re passionate about matching families with the perfect feline companion. Part of that process is understanding your lifestyle and discussing what type of cat will best suit your day-to-day routine.

If you’re confident about the responsibilities and ongoing costs of caring for a cat, and have thought about the type of companion that would fit best into your home, you’re ready to complete our questionnaire and begin the adoption journey!

Adoption Fee & Medical Policy

Our adoption fees generally range from $100 up to $250, depending on age and circumstances.

The fee covers essential vet work including:

  • Desexed (spey/ neuter)

  • Examined by a veterinarian

  • Microchipped

  • Vaccinated with F3 (Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Panleukopenia.).

  • Flea and worm treated


    100% of the adoption fee is reinvested     directly into the rescue’s operations. Most adoption fees do not cover the true cost of all vet work.

Our Adoption Process

Interested adopters must complete an online adoption application —which asks about your address, living situation, existing pets, household composition, and vet information.

We will endeavour to respond to your application within 48 hours of receiving your application to adopt.

Once the application is approved, you’ll be invited to a meet‑n‑greet with your chosen cat or kitten, either at the foster home or an arranged venue.

If everything goes well, you can adopt on the same day.

Ginger Ninja offers a lifetime return policy, should your situation change.

  • We are a foster network. We do not have a physical shelter. All our cats and kittens are fostered in the home.

    From time to time we will also hold pop-up adoption days where you can meet many cats and kittens in one location. Watch our Facebook page for more information.

  • To apply for one of our cats or kittens, please fill out the pet adoption application.

  • All the cats and kittens available for adoption are, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and flea and worm treated. The adoption fee charged does not cover the true cost of vet work and care. The fee helps us reinvest into the rescue to continue to help more cats and kittens in need.
